Detoxing Your Thought Life

I had the opportunity last weekend to attend a few of Dr Caroline Leaf’s sessions while she was in Vancouver.  She has spent the last 25 years studying the brain and discovering the intricacies of thoughts and how thoughts impact lives.

Her sessions affirm what I have always known to be true, but just didn’t know there was so much scientific evidence behind it:

  • How you think and what you think have a profound impact on your life
  • You don’t have to remain a victim of your past.  You can choose to design your future through renewing of your mind
  • Happiness is something that you choose  (they say “happiness is not about what happens to you, but how you react to what happens to you)
  • Your physical health, your success in life, your ability to manage stress, etc, are all connected to your thoughts

Dr Leaf speaks at lightning speed and there were so many nuggets to be had.  I encourage you to check out this article on her blog to become more aware of how your thoughts are impacting you.  Do you have a healthy thought life?  Or does your thought life need some detoxing?
